Sub 27

“Sub 27” refers to a cadastral parcel of the Cortese variety, which represents the beginning of a major reconversion project of the farm vineyards. In fact, this variety plays the starring role in this reserve, where research and tradition blend together, in a wine already thought of and wanted by founder Roberto in the past, refined by the feminine hand of his daughter Roberta.
This reserve is designed to come out after a long aging, only in the best vintages to dispel clichés, to exalt the native variety felt to be most rapresentative in this historical moment.

Organic

Intense cedar, white pepper, minerals and restrained smoky notes. Medium bodied with concentration, weight, a silky texture and long, vibrant acidity. Ambitious wine with good length. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but do not underestimate the potential for more complexity in three to five years of aging.

James Suckling

TASTING NOTES

The palate is broad, recognising yellow and tropical fruit with pleasant savoury notes of Mediterranean herbs (sage and thyme). Round and balanced, it retains a long mineral freshness that heralds its willingness to defy time.
